As a Remote General Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for transcribing a variety of audio and video recordings into written text. This role plays a crucial part in helping clients organize and analyze information, making it accessible and usable for their specific needs.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Transcribe audio and video recordings, including interviews, meetings, focus groups, webinars, podcasts, and other content, into accurate written text.
• Ensure the adherence to client-specific formatting guidelines and quality standards.
• Identify and correct errors, inaccuracies, or inconsistencies in transcribed documents.
• Conduct research and fact-checking when necessary to enhance transcription accuracy.
• Collaborate with clients or project managers to clarify unclear or ambiguous content.
• Manage workload efficiently, prioritize assignments, and meet specified deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security protocols.
• Continuously update and improve transcription skills and knowledge of industry trends.

 
ESSENTIAL PROFILE:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a General Transcriptionist, preferably in a remote setting. Additional certifications or training in transcription or related fields are a plus.
• Excellent listening skills and ability to comprehend diverse accents and speech patterns.
• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and spelling for producing accurate transcriptions.
• Proficient in using transcription software, word processing tools, and internet research.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency and formatting requirements.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Strong research and fact-checking skills to ensure transcription accuracy.
• Proficient in English and excellent written communication skills.
• Familiarity with various industries and subject matters is an advantage.

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Computer, Internet, and a home office set-up.
 
PAY RANGE: $15.00-$60.00 per audio hour transcribed.
